Neuhoff Archive

2002-2003

Prior to finishing my BFA I was invited by the Nashville Cultural Arts Project to photograph the former Neuhoff meatpacking plant, an abandoned slaughterhouse on the banks of the Cumberland River. I moved onto the site and worked for a year creating a visual archive of the property which culminated in a series of exhibitions around the city in 2003. This work will be featured in a documentary to be released in 2026 about the history of the site and its reinvention as a mixed-use development just north of downtown Nashville now known as the Neuhoff District.
