This is a selection of pictures from my longterm work in progress to photograph the rapidly changing city of Nashville where I live as well as the surrounding region that bares evidence of the inverse reflection of this change in its stubborn constancy or slow decline. I often follow the rivers and streams which flow into and out of the urban and encompassing rural environs to discover both stark contrasts and surprising convergence among the peoples and evolving landscape and culture of my home.
