Sinsabaw Hollow
The influence of home, with all of that wordʼs complex connotations, has affected artists from Joyce and Faulkner to the anonymous mountain ballad singer. These photographs were made near my home in northeast Tennessee between 2004 and 2009 as an attempt to see my own landscape. Along with the work from Solomon Valley, the project is, in part, a study exploring the way photographs can cumulatively define or invent a specific place.
